Graphic Designer

We are looking to grow our talented creative team by adding a new, experienced graphic designer to our staff. Qualified candidates must be able to work in a variety of mediums; primarily print, but on occasion web and social. Equally important is a deep understanding of production art and final art preparation, specifically for print. Our agency enjoys leading well-known national brands and important regional clients in developing packaging, shopper marketing, and advertising solutions—a sincere appreciation for helping shoppers and brands at retail is important.

As a Graphic Designer at Phoenix Creative you will:

  • Interact with designers, copywriters, art directors, and account leads to develop creative concepts and executions
  • Design and develop point-of-sale elements, coupons, mobile ads, and a variety of other materials
  • Extrapolate approved designs across a variety of alternate specs and dimensions
  • Prepare approved assets for final delivery to press, web and mobile
  • Perform retouching, color correction, and clipping of backgrounds on images, and optimize them as needed for production specifications
  • Check all layouts for completeness and adherence to brand standards
  • Manage a large volume of work with tight deadlines … and manage your own time
  • Assist in and be part of the ongoing creative education of the agency

You’re a great fit for this position if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design from a four-year college or university is a plus
  • 2–3 years of agency experience is preferred
  • Excellent typography skills
  • Proficient in the Adobe Create Suite with extensive knowledge of both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of printing processes
  • Organized with sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

The candidate we’re looking for will collaborate with Account Managers, Creative Directors, Art Directors and Designers to produce engaging material for high profile regional and national brands in a variety of media including: TV commercials, radio spots, corporate videos, banner ads, social media posts and videos, website content, point of sale, direct mail, brochures, meeting materials, and Power Point presentations. You will be called to contribute big ideas in brainstorm sessions, think visually, write in many voices, and pitch ideas with gusto. Digital experience is a must with experience producing TV, radio, and corporate videos a definite plus.

As a Copywriter at Phoenix Creative you will:

  • Work closely with all members of the team
  • Conceive, develop and produce effective advertising campaigns
  • Pitch ideas and present scripts to both clients and colleagues
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions by contributing copy suggestions, visual ideas, strategic thoughts, and tactical recommendations that will inspire big, creative ideas
  • Interpret client direction and feedback in order to create/revise content
  • Research clients, their competitors and the target audience

You’re a great fit for this position if you have:

  • A Bachelors degree in related field
  • At least 3 years of experience, either within an agency or an in-house department
  • A portfolio full of examples that prove outstanding concept and writing ability for a variety of brands and mediums
  • Excellent verbal, written presentation and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to juggle the workload of multiple clients and a constantly churning list of projects on a daily basis
  • Extraordinary analytical skills
  • A driving intellectual curiosity and motivation to search for inspiring insights and keep up with industry trends
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
